Angellion Records is an independent record label established in 2016 by Melaku Mendell with the over arching goal of creating and bringing to market a new take on Pop Music.  One that retains the marketability and catchiness of the genre in current times, while bringing back the best qualities of the pop, rock, soul, and AM gold music of the past.  

The Label is built on strong morals, and good ethics, and we take our motto “Integrity. Transparency. Quality.” very seriously.  As content creators, we are culture creators, and therefore being in integrity in terms of intention is incredibly important.  Instead of churning out songs like a factory, every song is pored over in terms of writing, production, messaging, visuals, and marketing.  And most importantly, the vision is of creating a better culture through media that has a net positive effect on the listener.

We believe that consistently doing this will create trust with fans looking for new music that has positive messaging, and is safe to share with the entire family.  Our plan is to tap into a new market for pop music that lives outside of the existing major label structure, seeing as millions of people are fed-up with what the mainstream is feeding them.  More than ever, the collective consciousness is taking back sovereignty, which means higher standards for what we consume.  

Internally within the Label, in order to establish trust and transparency, we have  a horizontal culture of simply supporting each individual to do what they are best at.  We also utilize new tech like smart contracts that ensure that all levels from creative to business can see what is going on.  This increased level of transparency is something that the Label is committed to in all aspects of business.  And with each artist the Label develops, every measure is taken to ensure that every product is quality.
